Tbt to bby Bee in college. I rocked the TWA, I was the president of Sculpture Club, and my bestie @klotzforgotz was the VP. We (mostly Julie) organized a Sculpture Club trip to LA to have our first art world experience. As you can probably tell I was very in to the Black Panthers and the history of community organizing. So much of what I thought and did at that time reflected in my style. Then you get older and stop caring as much about the outside and caring more about the in. I’ve worked incredibly hard on being a person that I consider healthy. It’s a work that never stops. It’s tiring and probably the reason why my style is now athleisure 😅. But I don’t think it’s possible to be 100% healthy. There’s so many sides to the human existence and the rent is too damn high! I’m working on being ok with not being 100% what and where I want to be. So much of life is just excepting that your lessons and growth aren’t linear. They’re congruent. Which is often confusing. The growing pains start sooner than you think! Anyways there’s no happy ending, just cycles of growth until you die enlightened and hopefully not unfinished. Happy Tuesday!
