hey guys! this post definitely isn’t about the very zoomed in shot of my face lol, but more about the photo in the slide that succeeds it (so swipe lol). As a young girl I’ve always wanted to tell my story because I always felt that I couldn’t be alone in feeling the way I did having scoliosis and living with a brace or the scar or even the uncomfortable looks I got before I was afforded a surgery. As it’s scoliosis awareness month I’ve tasked myself with a mission to spread awareness for scoliosis throughout Barbados and the region. I find specifically here in Barbados we fear what we don’t know and for many - they don’t know. Hopefully I can change the narrative of that somewhat. In my stories I’ve been trying to educate as best as I can (and I’ve left them in the 💚 high lights on my page) so we can start a conversation about scoliosis and spread awareness!
