Giant sequoias framing a white fir tree under the stars in @sequoiakingsnps - I light painted this scene with a high power LED light, running around the periphery of the trees and doing everything I could to not trip and fall over exposed roots and fallen branches in the pitch dark while this 30 second exposure was happening. I must have looked like a lunatic, we’d have to ask @ianvaso who was helping me with the project. It’s always fun working with a dark canvas and creating photos like this, opening up a greater artistic vision to transform.
