@ivo_ninov climbing Way of Life in Joshua Tree, 2006. I shot this photo a few days after he made the first ascent, ground up, with climbers Paul Turecki and Dave Griffith. I climbed Way of Life the day I shot this photo and I remember tripping on how loose some of the holds were. Thank God none of them blew. I just saw a post on @climbingmagazine, a video of a climber on the same route a few years later, pulling off some loose rock and falling. So gnarly. It made me think of @ivo_ninov and the great times we had out there in the early aughts. Joshua Tree and Yosemite hasn’t been the same since you left. We miss you brother!
