“Monkeypox can affect anyone, but stigma shouldn’t.” Like many people around the world 47 days ago I tested positive for monkeypox. Since then I have fully recovered physically however having monkeypox took a huge toll on my mental health. Although I received excellent guidance & support from health officials, in my everyday life I struggled with loneliness & feeling alienated. I felt like I had nobody to talk to who could relate to my experience and found myself in situations lead by fear because of lack of knowledge. Because of this I have teamed up with @instahim to spread awareness about monkeypox and to share tools and resources so that others don’t need to have the same experience that I did.
