in loving memory: mama was born on kauai then moved back to the philippines at age 1 where she grew up and started a family with papa. they eventually made their way to oahu, where she built a life for her family — my family. she loved a party, she loved dancing, she loved my mom, she loved me. 🌺 it’s not lost on me — especially now — how important it is to recognize what it means to leave one home and build a new one and i like to think I inherited some of my determination, resilience, and strength from her.
