A bird started to make a nest in my bedroom window last week after having just moved to a sweet little house at the foot of Mohonk Mountain. I felt immediately there was a message in this for me. This last move was emotionally taxing and I had to ask myself what is it I am looking for and where is it I want to be! I know I am a gypsy at heart however I realized I have moved over 12 times in the past three years. I’ve traveled all across America by car mostly alone. When I say alone, I am never really alone as I always have my trusty furry friends Saskia and Brando by my side. I thought I was going to move back to Europe during the pandemic only to realize that I have a deep love for this land. Finally I found a house a month ago that might just be the perfect place to call home for a while. I have fallen into the arms of upstate New York. The land is abundant, so much water surrounding, lakes and swimming holes and most importantly there is a sense of magic here. I am already deeply immersed in a new film project with the incredible @eveensler and to finally root myself feels like the perfect thing to do. The bird, by way of making the nest at my window, gifted me some thing valuable and so I made a decision to make my own nest. As soon as I decided that this is to be my home, the bird disappeared.
