WEST WINDS! a long overdue post in honour of this beautiful book that I feel so lucky to have been part of. A wonderfully intrepid journey through Jamaican food, life, history and stories told by @riazphillips. It’s such a special book, not only because it is the first cookbook I have shot in my career, but because it reads so genuinely and without pretence, and that’s my favourite kind of cookbook: authentic without even trying. I love seeing what we shot in the studio interspersed with Riaz’s photographs from Jamaica, and the inevitable nostalgia they inspire for the months I spent on the island in 2018, where I met Riaz for the first time.
