Our very first harvest of Millen-Gordon Honey. What a wonderful way to start the week @lydiamillenhome it’s been a fascinating journey and one I underestimated when I set out to become a bee keeper. I’ve learnt so much about these incredible creatures and I have so much still to learn. The BBKA & NBKA alongside my mentor have been a tremendous support in helping with all the curve balls the bee’s take pleasure in presenting you with. Soon we will be getting prepared to over winter and the cycle starts all over again. We talk about a bee colony as a superorganism a community that understand the importance of team work and the value of all roles within the colony, Unlike us humans they know that friction will only slow down progress and the bee’s work in synergy with one another because together they thrive. @flowhive #honey #honeybee #flowhive
