So fun fact, when I showed this wallpaper sample to Jon he said ‘is that finger painting’. Dying as I had fallen in love with the paper and now could’t get that comment out of my head!
This is the part of the project when pieces start to come together. I love when small spaces are treated like little jewel boxes. This space was part of a long-ish hall that really did have a purpose, too many doors, traffic patterns and no identity. It sounded weird but when I started sketching I thought about dropping a wall in the middle and breaking the long rectangle into 2 smaller - carving out a Mudroom and an Office space. So funny how taking away a bit of space creates all this function that works! It also gave me this little space to have fun with. Swipe right to see how the Foyer/Mudroom mosaic floor color worked with the wallpaper, that was my ah-ha this is it moment to make those selections!
