To be in college is to cry when your parents drive away after dropping you in a dorm surrounded by thousands of strangers, but cry even harder when it’s time to leave behind that once scary and unfamiliar place that turned into your home. To be in college is to pray for God to bring you your best friends freshman year, and by senior year to have had hundreds of movie nights, girl dinners, late night Jesus talks, ice cream runs, and have a full camera roll & an even fuller heart! To be in college is to skip a class or two to spend extra time with a friend, to spend all your money on coffee, to get a text at 11pm asking if you want to go two-stepping, to drive aimlessly for hours with the windows down screaming your favorite songs, to try new things and fail at a few (a lot) of them, to laugh endlessly, to even cry frequently, to never deny yourself a sweet treat, to drive to a different state to see your favorite band on a random Thursday, to be occasionally sleep-deprived, to stand for hours at a football game, to take spontaneous road trips, to impulsively get a new piercing, to live for student discounts like $0.75 pizza rolls, to miss your family, to see God reflected in your friends, to feel bold & free, to find adventure in the mundane, to be wildly confused about what you want to do with your life, but to know that no matter what happens, God is good & He will carry you through it all! Texas A&M holds some of the best memories and sweetest friendships of my life, and it is such a privilege to have a place that makes saying goodbye so hard! I am so excited to see what he has in store for me!! I’m excited to announce that I will be furthering my education at SMU in the fall to receive my masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling! 📸: @em.fern
