I feel like four years have gone by way too fast, but it’s still senior season. For those of you who don’t know I have a younger brother named Jackson and we are 7 years apart. We have grown really close since COVID and with the unfortunate passing of our grandpa almost two years ago. Not only did we really want to change this giant photo canvas of us in the foyer of our house (bc we both hate it) but I decided for my senior photos that I wanted to honor my grandfather and his legacy. My grandfather built a house on the top of a mountain that showcased beautiful scenery. Not only am I saying goodbye to UC this year but I am also saying goodbye to my home and my grandpa’s mountains as we are moving to a nearby town, down the mountain. As this school year wraps up I have felt so stressed about life and how things are going but then I remember that I have my family and my close friends who know how hard I’ve been working and while my grandpa is not here to celebrate being the first one to graduate college in our family, I know he is here in other ways.
