My exam study approach:
1. Active studying always i.e. I use question banks. It evokes deep processing, deliberate practice and promotes the QUICKEST way to learn i.e. from errors
2. Video instructions, makes it memorable for me more than reading (YOUTUBE university works well, but I also have a paid video board review lecture series I use for emergency medicine)
3. Textbooks only for concepts I do not fully understand or know about. I dont do mindless reading!
4. Review books to review things I need a quick surface level understanding off (cant review concepts youre still to learn!!)
5. I NEVER SIT DOWN TO JUST READ AIMLESSLY, I only read the topic from my review book after I answered the question incorrectly on my question bank or if I got the correct answer by elimination or guess work
Part 2 will detail how I approach my q banks, turn on your notification button.
From 1-5, which one of the above do you implement when you study?
