This passed Friday my long time pet, Angel, passed away. She was very old and had been getting more tired and weary as the days passed by, but she has been with me through some of the biggest changes of my life and has been around when I needed any form of comfort. Mornings without her persistent meows for food or her gentle head nudges to wake me up just haven't been the same without her or even just the absence of her weight on my chest or legs as we wind down for the day have felt wrong. Even when I knew her time was close, I was still never prepared to feel this amount of pain and grief. Angel will always have her place in my heart and she will be greatly missed.
