I meant to post this the day it happened...but...shows and dad and hospitals and covid and all that. about 11 days ago, I was stopping off at @oblongbooks in beautiful #rhinebeckny, and I noticed that the new edition of “Handbook for a Post-Roe America” by @robinemarty - for which I wrote the introduction - was in the display window. Big love for this bookstore for not only putting this book front and center for everyone to see, but for having a an entire abortion rights READING LIST at the front counter. Bookstores can be heroes. The @woodstocklibrary also has an entire huge display of abortion rights and feminist material up front. If you’re a bookstore or library: you can do this. You should do this. It matters. I asked the sweetie at the front counter for all the copies they had in stock and I signed and dated them. If you swing by there, you can pick one up. And tell them hello from me, and that I love them, and that they are doing a great job being bookstore heroes.
