Happy Independence Day Ghana! 🇬🇭 Today Ghana celebrates 64 years of independence from British colonial rule. I am a very proud Ghanaian and in the words of the first president of Ghana, the great Kwame Nkrumah “I am not African because I was born in Africa but because Africa was born in me.” However, as said beautifully and so perfectly by @afuathescot “The freedom and justice we have achieved means nothing unless it applies to all our citizens including the LGBTQ+ community in Ghana. None of us are free until all of us are free.” 🏳️‍🌈🖤 Happy Independence Day!
