An Orca Sea Star, moving through a shallow tide-pool on the hunt for food at sunset. Without these iconic stars, the wolves of the pools, the delicate balance of this tiny ecosystem is lost and overrun. Sea stars feed on crustaceans that proliferate and thrive in these environments, without them, these pools change rapidly and become overrun, pushing many of the smaller inhabitants that rely on the nutrients they find here.
