Its like Knight and day .. This before and after. A big driving goal was getting rid of a r post, so friend Brian @bdsdesigninc stepped in to help. I was looking at flow and layout - where would the new door go, if any windows were shifting, where the heck all the storage would go etc etc. At our client design meeting we talked about a retro feel. This is how we ended up with partial overlay cabinets - yes, for those of you who know me you might say ‘Kristina and partial overlay, whhhhhattttt’! A typical shaker cabinet just wouldn’t have been right!
Likewise a new stainless range would’t have been right. At that first client meeting we talked about a colored range, and not putting color on the cabinets, though they loved color. The term British racing green came up and I was immediately thinking of a particular range (and it gave me a reason to drag @jonathanrknight to go look at antique cars!) So this green @ilveusa range was one of the first things we purchased! Resources: Photo: @jaredkuziaphoto GC @curranconstruction Architect: @bdsdesigninc All paint: Super White from @benjaminmoore Exterior Door: Blue Daisy from @benjaminmoore Kitchen Island: Vintage drafting table from @antiquerevolution Island Top: Honed Carrara from @superiormarblegranite Perimeter Counters: Black anthracite leathered from @cbsexoticstonesinc and fabricated by @superiormarblegranite Floor Tile: Back Matt Hex from @discovertile Range: 30” Nostalgie Series in Emerald Green from @ilveusa Refrigerator: from @doyonsappliance Counter Stools: Petrone from @wayfair Cabinet and Appliance Knobs: Serene + Somerset collection in polished crome from @topknobs Shelf Bracket: Basillo from @signaturehw Island Light: Nova Troy Light from @hudsonvalleylighting Ceiling sockets: Black Glazed Porcelain from @lightworkdesignco Faucet: Rook pull down faucet in chrome from @brizofaucet Sink: Whitehaven Apron from @kohler
