i’m crushed and torn to see how #MahsaAmini lost her life last week at the hand of iran’s “morality police”. to see how a government could commit such senseless and violent acts against their own citizens is terrifying. my heart is with the people of iran who are currently on the streets protesting against the regime that killed #mahsaamini. children as young as 10 have been shot. women and men are being brutally beaten for raising their voices 😢. to protest against the government in iran means to risk being tortured, imprisoned, or killed- so when i see videos of these resilient protesters i’m at a loss for words. for those of us in countries where we have the freedom to speak up, along with countless other privileges, we must amplify the voices of irani protestors and #MahsaAmini Video by @aljazeeraenglish
