London -> Philadephia How lucky am I to conduct one of the greatest scores ever laid to picture in Philadephia over the next few days, after spending the last 10 days conducting and recording in the very studio (Abbey Road - Studio 1) the orginal score was recorded in! If you think about it, the Ewoks, basically teddy bears with slingshots and spears, are the one of (if not THE) most successful military units in the Star Wars galaxy. These little forest creatures helped dismantle the immensely powerful Empire with precision and glee. The Forest Battle is one of my favorite cues ever - Williams masterfully wrote music that was jaunty, technically dazzling, soaring, playful, mischievous, and threatening at the same time! Plus, almglocken! Who uses almglocken? Looking forward to making music at the The Mann Center for the Performing Arts!
