In support of the @elephantcrisisfund, our annual collaboration with @loewe presents the Elephant bag which combines traditional Shuka fabric and hand woven details by women from the the @samburutrust in Kenya. 100% of the bags’ sales proceeds will be donated to the @elephantcrisisfund which is a joint initiative of @savetheelephants and the @wildnetorg that funds the best ideas and most urgent actions by highly vetted conservation organizations working to safeguard the future of elephants. The continuing demand for and trade in ivory has encouraged the ongoing poaching of elephants in their natural habitats, dramatically shrinking their numbers. The Samburu Workshop is the heart of the Samburu Trust, which is a non-profit organization that engages the traditional authority of elders to help improve the lives of the Samburu people, securing their land and wildlife for a shared future. This project gives the women viable work which enables them to sustain their families and community.
