As we reflect on 2022, what a year it’s been! Our team has evolved as we’ve waved goodbye to dear old friends and welcomed new ones. We also bid farewell to three of our four-legged friends when Lily, Alizeti and Jock VIII left the manor to help repopulate Rothschild’s giraffes in the wild. Our herd has not dwindled though as we were graced with four adorable baby twigas. Our Footprint team have reached new heights, achieving Global Ecosphere Retreat status at Sasaab, assisting in two pangolin rescues, a successful giraffe translocation, and another hugely fruitful dental clinic helping 1000 patients – to mention but a few of their many achievements! Our lodges and camps continue to grow in innovative and sustainable ways, including Saasab’s new star beds and our new wellness centre, The Retreat at Giraffe Manor, which guests have unanimously loved. The release of our third online recipe collection, COOK, was a lovely nod to our amazing chefs and a celebration of our farm-to-fork philosophy. And we’ve got plenty in the pipeline for 2023! Our sneak peek includes an ambitious new sustainability centre (already underway) and a unique new wellness experience at Solio Lodge which we know you will LOVE. Bring on 2023!
