Runners looking to increase their speed πŸƒπŸ»β€β™€οΈ Here are three of the biggest mistakes I see 1. Heel striking - Excessive heel striking can halt your momentum and place stress on your hips and knees. 2. Swinging your shoulders + arms across your midline - This can cause you to slouch more and make it harder for you to breathe efficiently 3. Eyes/head to far down or too far up - As blatant as it sounds it’s unsafe to run like this and your eyes are important for picking up necessary sensory details and also remember your head is heavy πŸ˜‚ Totally normal to be making these mistakes, there is always room for improvement no matter what your experience is, so try these out. It will most probably feel very unnatural at first, I used to excessively heel strike a lot and remember it feeling so weird to run on the midsection of my foot. But the more often you remind yourself of these out on runs and practise, I’ll promise you it’ll feel more effortless and you’ll be a faster, more efficient runner πŸ™ŒπŸ”₯ One of my favourite training outfits @underarmourwomen for the Summer πŸ™Œ Feeling swift and easy #Ad #TheOnlyWayIsThrough Gym: @ground_gym πŸ₯Š #runningtips #runningtraining #cardio #treadmillrunning #runningtechnique #runningcommunity
