Still processing the dream that was our opening night of @intothewoodsbroadway so I’ll start simply: Joy and community is everyone’s birthright. Last night was heartbursting and the light on everyone’s faces as they came out of that theatre is proof there is something right about putting community and heart In the heart of what we do. I hope this runs longer than the allotted time so that more people can experience this. Also: Our company brought all the covers onstage last night and somehow clapped for us at the end of bows. After 3 hours of them giving every single thing they had last night. The generosity and camaraderie to include us in that moment is one I will never forget for the rest of my life, nor will I forget the sight and feel of 1500 people on their feet cheering together for one of the brightest and most joyful nights I can remember in a long time.
