✨This Wednesday, July 13th @londonedition I’m hosting a S3x Talks special raising money for @abortionsupportnetwork. First there will be a Letters Live style segment exploring the topic of bodily autonomy, then a panel discussion on turning anger to action with this dreamy line-up ⬇️ 1️⃣Actor @willpoulter actively uses his voice and platform to campaign around issues including domestic violence, anti-bullying, and anti-racism. He’ll be joining me to discuss the ways in which he strives to be a good ally (because lord knows we need a few more of them rn), what’s driven him to take a more proactive approach to campaigning for issues he cares about, and what he thinks is precluding more men from speaking out on issues such as gender inequality. 2️⃣Next up, the co-founder of sexual wellness app, @weareferly @billiequinlan. After being sexually assaulted by her manager at after-work drinks, Billie turned her anger to action in a very real way by quitting her job and building an app designed to help other women overcome sexual trauma and reconnect with their sexuality. We'll hear from Billie on how she built a purpose-led, for-profit business and what she's learned about change-making in the process. 3️⃣ Last but not least, the editor-in-chief of @viceuk @miss_zing. Zing has long focused her journalism on issues concerning women's and LGBTQ rights, and launched Broadly (a platform dedicated to covering gender and identity) for the VICE network in 2014. She is also the founder of the Unfollow Me campaign, which fights against domestic abuse, and is the author of the 'Forgotten Women book series', profiling underrated historical women across multiple different fields. Zing will be sharing with us her insights on campaigning for change through the media and journalism.
