Hi friends, as you all know, I'm an out and proud lesbian, Latinx, mama bear, LGBTQ+ advocate, and activist. I wasn't always this way. It took many years to accept and love myself. Healing and becoming who I am today took a lot of work. This is one of the reasons why I do what I do through Visit Gay Long Beach and the Safe Spaces Alliance. We want to help guide those who are yet to find their way to safe spaces where they can be themselves and find healing through community, services, and spaces that embrace us. More than that, being in a space where we are safe, welcome, and valued, allows us to be visible to the world, further normalizing our existence and bringing us closer to equality.
