Akron point guard Tavari Johnson was one of the best guards in the MAC this season, earning All-Conference and All-MAC Tournament Team honors while helping lead the Zips to an NCAA tournament bid. The efficient guard was one of only a few players in the entire country to average double figures while shooting over 38 percent from three and 90 percent at the line. With his return to Akron next year, Johnson will be one of the favorites to be the MAC Player of the Year
