Becoming a Pilates instructor has completely changed the way I view classes. These are things I will NEVER do in a class now that I’m on the other side of things... 1. Ignore cueing - It’s so important to listen to make sure you have the proper form and prevent injury. 2. Feel bad for having to modify. - It’s encouraged! Our bodies are all made so differently and modifications don’t necessarily mean you are “weak”. I love when people take them because that means they are listening to their body! 3. Leave during stretch. - We program it into our class for a reason. It can be disruptive to students who want that moment of silence and not to mention dangerous to walk around with equipment. Take a moment for yourself 🤍 4. Judge an instructor based off of one class. - Instructors have bad work days just like everyone else, you might have just caught them on one! I always say, try them more than once and if they aren’t for you then that is perfectly okay! 5. Avoid breaks. - Take as many as you need! Instructors are there to guide you not push you past what you can handle. You know your body better than anyone 🤍 #pilates #matpilates #pilatesinstructor #pilatesworkout
