Theo and I just took a two mile walk and I wore my weighted vest for the first time in a while. So I figured I’d make a quick post about the benefits I personally feel when wearing a weighted vest. I must first admit that I hate running. 😀 I stick to walking, biking, and swimming for my cardio. But Theo is getting older and he can’t walk as a far. So, adding a vest helps me get my heart rate up quicker, increase my core strength and my endurance, all while walking a shorter distance. The 2nd pic is so that you can see the little pouches on the vest. You can add and decrease weight depending on how you feel. Pre top surgery, it was convenient (to say the least) to have something covering my chest when exercising. I would always opt for walking with a vest before surgery as opposed to jump roping, running, etc for obvious reasons. πŸ˜… It goes without saying that adding weight to any movement is not for everyone but this is now a staple for me. βž–βž–βž– #ftm #transman #queer #transgender #trans #ftmfitness #fitness #lgbt #transmale #certifiedpersonaltrainer #cpt #denver #colorado #transmenofig #transfitness #transmen #transathletes #transathlete #transathletesbelonginsport #transvisibility #transbodybuilding #transgenderhealth #denvercolorado #queerdenver #queerfitness #queerathlete #queerathletes #personaltrainer #trainer
