Yesterday I had a radical orchidectomy due to suspected testicular cancer. Now the removed testicle has to be analysed further to determine what happens next. The good news is my CT scan and tumour marker tests appear to be clear 😊 Testicular cancer is rare, but it is the most common cancer found in young men. When caught early, cure rates are extremely high (95%+), but it is most often discovered through self detection. If you don't already, please check yourself regularly! If anything doesn't feel right, it's better to go to the GP and find out it isn't anything to worry about, rather than leaving it and hoping it's nothing. I know it might be uncomfortable at the time, but getting your balls checked could be a life saving decision!
