one year around the world 🌎 new friends, familiar faces. fresh discoveries, favorite places. this past year has been an adventure I’ll never take for granted. I knew this was always something I wanted to do and while living out of a suitcase, jumping from place to place, and letting go of routine hasn’t been easy, this was one of the best experiences of my life. I met incredible people from every corner of the globe, each offering unique perspectives and new insights. every connection taught me something, and in turn, I learned more about myself and the world than I could have ever imagined. although I’m ready for more stability, I can’t help but feel bittersweet. there’s a sadness in not knowing if I’ll ever have an experience quite like this again, or if I’ll cross paths once more with the people who’ve touched my heart so deeply. but then I remember a page from my travel journal that sums it all up: “the part they don’t tell you about when you start to travel is leaving your heart in different pieces of the world. you go out into the world and meet these wonderful people, from other parts of this earth with many different backgrounds, and every time you leave them, a piece of you stays with them. you don’t realize it at first, but after a while, you wonder why your heart cannot feel full. wishing that old friends could meet new ones, and they all could experience each chapter of your life. it sounds sad at first, but then you recognize that you have a part of their heart as well. it’s quite beautiful to carry pieces of these people around the world. to share their stories and to be apart of their individual journeys. to have your heart spread across the world is an amazing thing” ♥️📖
