If I posted my photo looking like her, would that make you more comfortable? Would that make me more beautiful? She is gorgeous, but what makes me not? I am doing the same pose, but my pubic hair means I am attention-seeking and flexing. But if I were hairless and doing this pose, I would be what? Stunning? Accepted by you? If your acceptance of me can change based on something natural on my body, then I don’t want your acceptance; I don’t need anyone’s acceptance but my own. Do you accept yourself on the same conditional basis you put on me? That must be extremely limiting on you and not freeing at all. I am, as a woman, reclaiming power over my body and not letting men or the patriarchy determine how I present my body. We need to stop appreciating people only if they fit one mould. We need to start embracing people in however they choose to show up. And that means learning to accept and appreciate YOURSELF - however you choose to show up. ❤️
