covid, day 8. to whoever put this sign on the road near my house...thank you. my god am i feeling it today. people have been helping me because i have covid and my dad is in the hospital. it’s madness. to all of my covid-twin friends who have tested positive in the last couple days (and i know there’s at least 4 of you out there in edinburgh, poland, new york city, and woodstock)...i love you. look for the helpers. they’re out there. if you’ve had covid and people helped you, look around for who needs help now. ask. if they refuse, make sure they’re not just being polite. ask again. if they refuse a second time...well, believe them. when you have covid, even just knowing that the neighbors in your area are checking in and willing to swing by the drugstore for you is huge. to those who need the help: ask. ask. ask. and receive. receive. receive. all with grace. and mercy. and to those who have the ability to give a hand: offer. even just the offer of help is such a huge emotional gift to those going through isolation. it’s a circle. it’s a ride. we go up, we go down. we are all in it. i love you, no matter where you are in the circle. ♥️
