#thankfuleveryday I haven’t posted one of these in a bit because life has been so crazy, but I need to take the time to acknowledge my two biggest supporters: Mom and Dad. I got my love of acting from my mother, and my father took us to all kinds of shows. Together the two of them sent me to theater camps and singing lessons, even if they thought I should pursue something more realistic. (And not sing anywhere with them in the vicinity.) Being on the autism spectrum is something I’m proud of, but it’s not always easy for those closest to me. Without their emotional and financial support, I would not have been able to pursue my dreams when I was little, and I wouldn’t be where I am now. Not everyone is able to do this for their children even if they want to, and I’m thankful that the hard work of my parents provided me the privilege to pursue my dreams. I am working hard to make Mom and Dad proud. But just as important, I aim to make the financial reserves so that I can someday start a foundation to help other actors with disabilities pursue their dreams. Acting is one of the most expensive pursuits and I don’t like that so many talented artists never get seen because they don’t have the financial resources to follow their dreams. I get overwhelmed by my passion for disabled actors sometimes, but I am trying to take it one day at a time. Fun fact-I filmed my first television speaking role right next to where my parents got married.
