Still pinch myself that I’m even included in this day of honoring one of Gods greatest miracles—to give life. Writing this now 7months pregnant with our daughter. My back hurts, knees hurt, feet hurt...my toddler didn’t sleep last night, which creates another set of issues, so the list goes on. Nevertheless, I am so grateful to be a vessel of Life. It’s something I’ve always wanted even when I was too young to understand what it truly meant. I realize parenting is about trying foster a person into their greatest potential, while still trying to maintain your own identity or whatever little that’s left of it for the next 18-21 years. It’s about Love, Patience, Sacrifice, Laughter, Joy, Pain, Trust, Friendship, Teamwork. It’s about giving yourself permission to take care of yourself without feeling guilt, which is easier said than done. I’ve learned so much over these past 2 years of motherhood and I wouldn’t want to trade it for anything. To all the moms out there reading this I know you can relate, and for any becoming mothers, you have so much to look forward to. It’s a fuck of a ride but the best rollercoaster there is.
