Healing indeed isn’t linear 🎢✨ As you may or may not know - I got diagnosed with Lyme disease in May 2020 after suffering silently for about 8 years with no answers. I have been navigating my healing journey ever since and don’t know if there really is a “right” way to heal. There’s no roadmap, no guide, no true path that one should take when navigating healing from a chronic illness. With Lyme, there are flare ups where you feel about a million times worse and your symptoms are at an all time high.. I am currently experiencing one of those (debatably the worst one I ever have). I’m so grateful for the love and support I’m surrounded by and will say - mental strength is the key to overcoming and embracing this wild and unpredictable journey. I am ok - I will feel better soon - and I’m home and healing now - but I just wanted to share something a lil more vulnerable I went through this week in case you’re going through something similar. Please know you are not alone. 👼💖✨ I often feel alone when navigating my symptoms and it can be quite alienating.. so if you’re out there and feeling that way - this is a reminder that you indeed are not alone and there are so many people that want to support you, can empathize with you and are here for you. You are so strong and you will get through this, no matter how intense, consuming, or scary it may feel. If you are healthy, hug your healthy body & tell it how grateful you are for your health. Thank it for keeping you breathing, walking, smiling, living, loving, learning & experiencing life. If you are on a healing journey - whether it be physical, mental, spiritual or emotional in nature.. remind yourself of your strength - know that the universe, god, whatever or whoever you believe in does not give you what you cannot handle. You can AND WILL get through this and I will too.
