Very casually, and out of curiosity, I wanted to compare the @aisuribeauty duochrome mermaid palette (pr) with other shifty eyeshadows I have. I chose the first shade in it, which shifts between yellow and pink, and realized later that I don’t have many other similar shades haha. Still, I wanted to compare the shift and sparkle. I think you can see clearly that the sparkle is fantastic✨ 1) Aisuri’s shade is very sparkly with a transparent base and a duochrome shift between pink and yellow. 2) Nomad Cosmetic’s Zaku Zaku (from the Tokyo Harajuku palette) is just as sparkly but with a bright yellow base and yellow to pink shift. My closest shade match. 3) Clionadh’s Ripple (from their glitter multichrome line) is comparable in formula, even though I don’t have a similar shade. It’s just as sparkly, but with more colour shift since it’s a multichrome. AiSuri is a bit buttery-ier tho, but still I’m reminded of Clionadh. 4) Copacetic Cosmetics’ Pool Party; honestly I don’t remember why I’ve included it (I was kind of looking for similar colours I have, and this is a goldy one, but that’s where the similarity ends, as it’s a. shifting to cold colours, and b. a multichrome not a duochrome). It’s by far the shiniest of them all tho haha, so enjoy that comparison. It’s no secret I’m not the best at capturing shifts. I can see them in this video, (sunlight from the right, and flash from the top as my second source of light) so I was pretty excited about that. I’ll continue to try making these comparisons, and discussing the shades further.
