Some money shots from the recent @trophyknivesband new album launch and mini showcase at The Bee, Publika. Called Look The Other Way, this is the second studio album for the country’s internationally renowned punk band and the follow-up to its 2019’s debut album, Glass Ceiling. It features 9 blistering tracks that is available on digital and physical (CD and vinyl) formats. The vinyl version also include the single We Can’t Be Saved featuring Chris#2 of legendary American punk band, Anti-Flag, as a bonus track. Look The Other Way is jam-packed with a mixture of heavy hitting drum grooves, chaotic guitar playing, omnious synth effects and snarling vocals over melodic choruses that spit bile on complex issues but remains rooted in the ordinary everyday life. Armed with a new perspective on music culminated from various creative collaborations that happened during the lockdown and the exiting of Syamir Ali (previously on bass guitar) from the band, Trophy Knives have found themselves shedding their old skin by exploring territories they’ve never delved into which is evident with this new album.
