No problem! ⠀ This can also be a Self Rescue tool to utilize in a pinch in situations where your rope is too short for a rappel Let’s say you have a 60m rope and need to do a 35m rappel to the ground: ⠀ 1. Lower the first climber to the ground. This ensures that the one end will reach the ground while the other end is 10m short. 2. Tie an overhand on a bight on the short side of the rap and clip a locker from it onto the long side of the rope (make sure you know which side is which!) 3. Rig your rappel on the long side that reaches the ground 4. As you reach the end of the short side of the rope 10m above the ground, start attaching whatever material you have on your harness together to create a long tether (e.g. - cord, slings, shoelaces, etc.) 5.
