Replying to @Autumn_ghosts this lentil bolognese is a heart healthy way to make pasta that incorporates lots of fiber and a plant-based source of protein! the recipe is below, hope you enjoy ❤️ recipe (makes 4 servings) 1. to a large pan over medium heat add 1 tbsp olive oil and 1 cup diced yellow onion 2. cook 3-4 mins until onions are fragrant, and then add 1 cup diced red bell pepper and 1 cup diced zucchini 3. cook all veggies for another 5 mins while stirring occasionally 4. add 1-28oz can of san marzano peeled tomatoes, along with 1 tbsp oregano, 1 tsp red pepper flakes, 1 tbsp fresh chopped parsley, 1/4 tsp sea salt, and fresh ground black pepper 5. add 1 cup cooked lentils to sauce, stir to mix, and bring to a simmer 6. add 1 cup cooked pasta of your choosing to the sauce (if you need to limit carbohydrates I would choose zucchini noodles since lentils are also starchy) 7. top with fresh parmesan (or can leave off for vegan option) and extra basil, and enjoy! nutrition per serving: 197 calories, 8g protein, 24g carbohydrate, 4.5g fat, <1g sat fat, 215mg sodium, 7g fiber. #lentilbolognese #hearthealthyrecipes #makeithearthealthy #miga
