High maintenance because I’m the one maintaining it. Recently on a date, I was asked if I like “nice things”... My response: I’m learning to love & know that I deserve nice things. Me: rolls eyes “mental note— he’s a 🚩” Hear me out— First, you don’t get to ignore someone’s truth & take away their reality because of assumptions you’ve made from the outside looking in. Reality, yes I do like nice things and have always desired nice things but that wasn’t my reality for quite some time. It also took a long time to understand what it takes to achieve certain goals to get said nice things. That also being said.. everyone’s version of “nice things” VARY. I could care less about an expensive car cause that’s not what I value but catching flights and having experiences.. best believe I’m there. So it all depends... BUT at least have the heart to listen and gain understanding about others perspectives, experiences and desires and that I’m proud of. P.S.
