@thebattlebunker Flagship Competition was one of the greatest weekends of my life! • Well.... I took off on the ruck at Event 1 and my legs would NOT move. No matter how much prayer, positive self talk or telling myself to “man up,” nothing worked. It destroyed me and I fell into 22nd place after event 1. I’m not sure what happened, I came into this fitter than I’ve ever been and really ready to throw down. Well, psychologically it was hard to come back from that. But thankfully I was surrounded by the most incredible athletes who were supportive, positive and kept me in the game. During Event 2, as I made it out of the grid, @huntthesheriff screamed “get your sh*** together, Shannon.” Oddly enough, that was exactly what I needed to hear and I clawed my way back from 22nd to 11th place after all 3 events. I had the same judge (Patrick) for both events 2 and 3 and man, I can’t thank you enough for pushing me. I don’t know your IG- but you the real MVP. 😂👌 • I learned a lot about myself as an athlete and I realize I still have a lot of refining to do in order to be where I want. I will continue to pray for the guidance, wisdom and confidence in my ability to empty the tank. • The event was phenomenal @austen_alex and @huntthesheriff you handled every hurdle with grace and professionalism. You put so much time, love and energy into creating this experience for us and I cannot thank you both enough for growing this sport and giving us the opportunity to be treated like Olympians. The @trainatchulavista facility was world class and I want to thank every staff member, volunteer and judge for the support. It was such a blessing to be there. 🙏 • The greatest part of the weekend was the camaraderie from all the athletes especially my ONE OH SIXXX crew!!! I love y’all- thank you for the endless laughs and memories for a lifetime. The reunion will be epic. Lol long live the Yeti.
