Last week I scored a little bit of Dutch Breaking history. An original poster of a performance on 8 Jan 1984 by Alex And The City Crew, for one time only performing as Martin And The City Crew. After numerous video’s by The Rock Steady Crew, Malcolm McClaren and the movie Wildstyle that was released in November 1983 (this might have not been playing in Dutch theatres yes) Breaking was starting to reach its peak in Europe and The Netherlands and crews were emerging all over. In Amsterdam Alex And The City Crew was one of the first for sure.
