You are a true partner in parenthood - you book almost all of the kids’ after-school activities, you make sure you buy school uniforms in time even though you were perplexed about the definition of a “skort,” you never miss any school event (teacher conferences to holiday performances you are always there), you read the parenting books and give me the cliff notes, you make sure you get the kids’ clothes when they grow out of them (I always have to ask you what shoe size they are - you mean 5T is NOT a shoe size? All right.), you brush Reagan’s hair (even after I do it), you cut E’s mowhawk with the perfect fade, you asked why you weren’t asked to be a room dad when I was asked to be a room mom (👏🏼 let’s please wipe “room mom” out of our vocabulary), you cheered so effing embarrassingly loud for Reagan during her first swim meet this weekend and I loved it, you pulled over to the side of the road after pickup when Reagan said a classmate was being mean to her and read every name on the class roster 😂, when Elliott said he wanted to be a Pokémon trainer when he grows up, you educated him on the intricacies of Pokemon (WTF is a legendary). And of course, this carousel is an ode to being the most stylish dad. When I take a photo, you almost always ask, “Babe, did you get my shoes and how do they look?” They always look 🔥- and, more importantly, your fatherhood is always 🔥.
