FLIGHT PLAN #3 - Boat-assisted foiling at @namotuisland with @armstrongfoils - Here I am riding the following gear: @armstrongfoils 27L FG Wing Surf Board -CF1200 x HA195 -60 fuse -72cm mast -All of the above is available at @realwatersports - Spending a week on the island with @thomasvictorcarroll and having the opportunity to talk foiling and gear, he was frothing on the CF1200. I had only ridden the CF950 in that range and love it but on this day the waves were in the 1-2ft range and I wanted a little bit more foil. Tom kindly let me borrow his CF1200. On my first wave I was blown away by the maneuverability. It has such a smooth roll as you transition from bottom turn to top turn and it flows through the turns seamlessly without any loss of speed. I felt like I was really able to push my turns as hard as I could without becoming unstable. I was also able to pump decently well and connect a few waves. The CF1200 combined with the HA195 tail feels like the perfect amount of carving and turn ability combined with great stability. @thomasvictorcarroll has enjoyed the CF1200 and HS232 as that combo is slightly less “twitchy”. However, for a slightly more lively ride, the HA195 tail works well with this front wing.
