One the most meaningful details in our garden is a stone bench made from an original piece of sandstone foundation that stood through the earthquake of 1915 (the same one that leveled much of downtown SB). When we restored the stone foundation in 2019, we found this piece of carved sandstone, a hitching post and some beautiful boulders, all of which we ended up keeping and displaying in several areas of the garden. #stonebench #santabarbarasandstone #carvedsandstone
