Then & Now ⏳ Did you know that the Ashridge House Courtyard once had a swimming pool!? Here is a picture of the pool from 1939 when Ashridge served as a training centre for Conservative Party workers. The House had been purchased in 1929 by Urban Hanlon Broughton in honour of then Prime Minister, Andrew Bonar Law. Monks, monarchs, 19th century bourgeoisie and war heroes have all graced the great halls of Ashridge House.
