“You better lose yourself in the music...” On top of the places I’ve wanted to see during my visit in Detroit was the former Michigan Theatre as it is featured in a lot of movies like Eminem’s “8 Mile” (and in the music video of “Lose yourself”), Jim Jarmusch‘s melancholic vampire drama “Only Lovers Left Alive” (see 2nd & 3rd pic), “The Island” and “Transformers: Age of Extinction”. 🎬 The French Renaissance style theatre was built in 1925, exactly on the site of Henry Ford‘s garage where he built his first automobile.
