My 8th addition to the Human+Nature exhibition at The Morton Arboretum in Chicago Ephemera Ephemera is a meditation on the importance of the present moment in the constant cycles of change. The daffodils allude to Persephone as she steps into the earthly light then later takes her leave, returning time and again to the shadowed underworld, her annual passage marking the seasons of decay and those of renewed life. Set within a landscape of shifting sounds, Ephemera becomes a still and constant counterpoint to the transitory essence of the natural world. She is there to remind you to maybe stop and listen to the passing present – The complex orchesta of Nature against the low hum of deep time. The delight of this moment and the strength in knowing that this too shall pass! Pushing the surreal concept of this work. I experimented with something different, playing with style and form and drawing inspiration from the grand master Moebius. This work is the final piece part of the Human+Nature exhibition at the Morton Arboretum. She stands 13ft tall and will be on display until June 2023 pics by @jonx . . . . . #sculpture #sculpturepark #naturelovers #creative #contemporaryart #wellness #arts_gate #botanicalgardens #naturewalk #surrealism #artpark #naturephotography #humannature #beautifuldestinations #naturelover #natureart #architecture #moebius #architecturephotography #hoteldesign #modern #architecturelovers #architect #architecture_hunter #exteriordesign #landscapearchitechture
