THE INTIMACY OF: Lightning ⚡️ First of all: this was so quick as the first slide, I grabbed whatever lens I had on my @sonyalpha with not even looking. And, then I noticed it was my 90mm macro lens (took a huge sigh) but I only took 5 photos and this was one of them: Again: HANDHELD 🥵(Slides 2+ are with my phone) ...second of all, NO and never again. 🫣 I literally felt sick to my stomach while taking these and I have no idea how @neatpicsitake or other storm chasers do it. I was close but not that close but the sheer electricity coming from each bolt was crawling closer towards me. I grew up loving the weather and wanted to be a meteorologist. I would track storms and hurricanes was my speciality. And, its still fascinating to me however the more I witness weather disasters the more it all frightens me. ⏰ Back to this moment: My heart is racing and my eyes are startled still by the power of light each bolt creates. This will be the first and last lightning bolt photo I will take for sometime. The sheer brilliance that the sky creates such a intimacy with each bolt as it dances across the sky. Anyways, PLEASE be safe. Lightning is VERY dangerous. I never felt the power of a ⚡️ bolt that close to me before and rather never feel that again. 🌵 Monsoon season in the desert is surreal. 👉🏾 QUESTION: How does these photos make you feel?
